THINX

We created the concept, name, and graphic system and more for this pop-up shop in SoHo. Thinx approached Placeholder to work with their creative team to deliver something fresh, bold, and meaningful — something, in other words, that dovetailed with their brand and mission. We conceived of the "Rest Room" as a comfortable space for people with periods, a sort of inversion of the reality for that same crowd. Too often, we force people to talk about periods in hushed tones, hidden in the bathroom. Society makes the simple, natural fact of a period a cause of discomfort. So, we made a Rest Room that celebrates the period and makes people feel comfortable talking about them, and Thinx sells products that makes people feel comfortable having them. We're proud to have worked with Thinx to help end the stigma that hurts the sexual and mental health of people worldwide — and we're excited for a more inclusive conversation to take hold.
